You guys. I just bought a plane ticket… to Switzerland. As soon as I pressed the “purchase ticket” button, I had a moment – is this real life? Yes, Sarah. It is. I will be backpacking through Europe for two weeks with the crew that brought you the NOLA Pact. And it will be epic. The craziest part? We made this plan, like, less than a week ago. And now it’s happening.
This is a HUGE contrast to the way planning things usually works in my life. For the most part, it’s all “we should do this” and “yeah, I’m totally in” followed by changing the plan a million times, never settling on anything, silence, folks flaking out, and then nothing. This is not meant to sound passive aggressive – as many of you know all too well I am often the flaker. Old patterns die hard, but at the moment I am determined to live it up, because, well, YOLO.
…. I should probably STOP browsing random flights on kayak though. A girl only has so much money in tha bank. And limited vacation days. Okay, reality strikes back. But the point is, you should go do/plan something spontaneous, because you’re alive, and that’s something worth celebrating. Also, it’s Friday.
